Race Number:

Race numbers can be collected on the day between 09:00 and 10:00 from the School.

Your race pack will contain your Race Number, (White for Fun Run /Blue for 5K/Red for 10K).

If there is an issue, please remember everyone is a volunteer and doing their best. If need be, they will ask you to wait aside until one of the Race Committee can come and talk to you, to resolve it.

Refreshments:

Toilets:

There are toilets and limited changing facilities available in the school.

Baggage:

A baggage minding service will be provided. Signs will guide you and marshals should be on hand to assist you. Bags can then be collected at the end of the race.

Race Briefing and Start:

A mandatory briefing will take place inside the school at about 09:45. This is for your health and safety. Please do your best to attend. The race starts on the road by the school fields. You will then be called to the start by the Race Director.

Water Stations:

There are 2 water stations. 1 is at the 5K mark on the 10K route and the other is at the Finish Line

Safety on the course:

Please take care and listen to any instruction given by marshals, some junctions have traffic, which can't see you until the last minute. Please keep to the left of the road, unless a curve in the road otherwise makes it more sensible to be on the right.

DO NOT WEAR HEADPHONES: You can't hear important safety advice and you may be disqualified. Singing is allowed, if not encouraged, provided you have been certified by a medical professional, as not being tone-deaf.

Please drop any water cups as near to the water stations as possible, (not on the marshals) /or at the next marshal point. This includes Gels and the Greggs Pasty wrappers you may be carrying. Let your running style be tidy in all ways.

Prize Giving:

This will take place in the school at about 12:30 /or as soon after, dependant on when the results are available.

Finishing line:

You thought it was all road? In the last few hundred meters you run on the school fields, Take care here, you don't want to end up with mud on your face this close to the line!

After passing the finish, please move to water station to help keep the finish area clear.

Post Race/Results:

Results are incrementally provided in the school as best as we can produce them, please don't be offended if the timing team at the finish line mid-race are too busy to delve into the data to get your specific time.

Full results aren't available until a short while after the last runner comes home.

Go have a  cup of tea and bacon roll you've earned it!

Force Majeure:

In the unfortunate & unlikely event that we have to cancel the race due to inclement weather or similar causes that would pose a risk to the health & safety of runners and volunteers alike, the race committee will make every effort to post advance notice on the website, social media and via email.
